The greatest announcement the world has ever received is found in Luke 2:10-12: But the angel said to them,” Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you. You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
During this most wonderful time of the year we as Christians are not only receivers of this announcement but we are also to share the good news by announcing to a lost world that Jesus Christ has come to give them life more abundantly. This announcement often comes through the way we live our lives in front of our fellow co-workers, friends and family members. While they will not often read a Bible if placed in front of them, we realize that our lives are often the “bible” that people are reading and the “announcement” they are listening.
The choir and everyone involved in our Christmas presentation has done a wonderful job in making this “announcement” I would like everyone to know how much we appreciate the Adult Choir, Children Choir/Bells, J-YA, J-Youth, 18 Thoughts, Multi Media, Hand Mime, Sound and Light Tech, Drama Group, Program, Stage Props and the volunteer equipment haulers in sharing the Christmas message through the drama-musical presentation “The Christmas Song.” I know it takes great dedication to organize an event such as this and we commend you for the fine job. Thank you as well for your hard work in bringing the church into the community and sharing the Good News. Going to the Eastridge Mall and Season’s Mall requires a lot of sacrifices and we greatly appreciate your time and effort in helping carry out the GSCC mission.
This Christmas is an opportune time to share the Good News as we are gathered with our family, loved ones and friends. Let us not allow Christmas to pass by without sharing that Christmas is about Christ, the Messiah. Again, thank you. Merry Christmas to everyone!
