“Congratulations to all of you for completing your membership class! Welcome to GSCC. Let us continue to protect the unity of the church, share responsibility, serve the ministries and support the testimony of the church.” Thus opened Pastor Oyette Fernando the doors of GSCC to some 32 new members who completed July 8,10and 15 the membership classes conducted by Pastor Dani Castillo.
The new members were taught the meaning of a church, the benefits of becoming a member of a local church as well as the purposes, vision, strategy and structure of GSCC. They also learned the meaning and importance of baptism and were informed of their responsibilities as members.
Those who signed the commitment to abide by GSCC’s membership covenant are Maritz Casimiro, Gaylie Arciaga Casimiro, Daryl Purificacion, Richard Mijares, Nenita Anderson, Carl Anderson, Angelito Roldan, Susan Roldan, Grace Kearney, Mike Kearney, Cecilia Lindsey, Eileen Gutierrez, Maricris Santa Ana, Mary Ann Santa Ana, Frank Castaneda, Leila Cruz, Willie Andres, Leticia Serrano-Andres, Merle del Rosario, Frank del Rosario, LJ Castillo, Jonathan Valle, Josephine Uychutin, Billie Uy, Casey Rico, Justin Fernando, Rachelle Vo, Eric Olivar, Benjamin Pasibe, Lized Purificacion, Jazmine Mariano and Jing Cordero. GSCC currently has a total of about 105 active members.
Pastor Dani in his congratulatory message said in part, “ …for you were once Not a People, but now you are the People of God; you had Not Received Mercy, but now you have Received Mercy. Congratulations everyone. We’re Better Together!”
