Glory to God! God is good all the time! This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!
As we celebrate this significant milestone, it is appropriate that we dedicate our activities to our God the Father, thanking Him and giving Him all the praises, honor and glory for building this church, His Church. He is the chief engineer and chief architect working behind the scenes and bringing His children together and working in love, unity and harmony in the building-up and advancement of His Kingdom as well as for blessing His church family with a church facility of their own.
We also give our honor, praises and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ not only for establishing this church and being the head of the church but also for continuing to build through the families being reached out in the community. His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead made it possible for you and I to come together with Jesus in common worship.
We are grateful this morning for the power we receive from the Holy Spirit, giving us the courage and boldness as we work together in advancing God’s kingdom not only here in Milpitas, but in its surrounding communities as well.
For many of you who have been here since the first year, we have lived life together through the good and bad, ups and downs, gains and losses, but you cannot deny witnessing the Good Work God has done in this church in the past 6 years. We witnessed God’s steady hands prevail. We witnessed God’s good works and guidance! We are here today only by the good works of God! Only by His grace! We can celebrate this victory, this very blessing because of God’s grace!
Today’s dedication is like building a monument to memorialize the victories that we have received in Christ as we excitedly anticipate what lies ahead. The growth this church is experiencing both in quality and quantity is a powerful testimony of God’s work and presence in our midst! This building is a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness! This is a powerful testimony that God is immune to the economy of the world. Even in the tough and depressed economy we are in, God is faithful in and through His people. This is a manifestation of God’s power in our midst.
Today, allow me to share with you the vision and mission of GSCC: The vision of this church is to become a church that loves God and others. It is about being passionate for others. I do believe this-when we are loving God (in right standing with Him), then He will give us the character to love others. The mission of this church is to go and make disciples (devoted followers of Christ), baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them the ways of God! This is about seeing lives being transformed! Utilizing this church facility for His work and glory!
We can see God’s work in the spiritual lives of our people and we can see His work through the provisions that we receive in this church.
I would like to commend the leaders and members of GSCC for your commitment and dedication, and more importantly, for pursuing God’s will for your life and for his church. I would like to encourage and challenge ever leader and member of GSCC to continue to serve the Lord as individuals and as a corporate body and live out His purpose in your life and in His Church! Reaching out the community one life at a time! We got the boat, now let us go fishing!!!
